Orbis includes a built-in investor database — firms and individual investors you can browse, filter, bookmark, and enroll in outreach campaigns.

Browsing investors

Navigate to Investors in the sidebar to open the investor table. The database includes two kinds of records:
  • Firms — VC funds, angel groups, and institutional investors
  • People — individual investors, partners, and angels
Use the Kind toggle at the top to switch between All, Firms, and People.

Investor profiles

Click any investor to open their profile sidebar with:

Identity

Name, type (VC, Angel, PE, etc.), location, and description

Investment focus

Stage preference, check size range, sector focus, and geography focus

Portfolio

Number of investments, exits, and whether they’re currently investing

Social links

Email, website, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Crunchbase profile
Firm profiles also show fund size, fund year, and a Crunchbase link. People profiles show their company and job title. The filter builder lets you narrow down investors by:
  • Name — text search
  • Kind — firm or person
  • Type — VC, Angel, PE, Family Office, etc.
  • Stage — Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, B, C, Growth, etc.
  • Sector focus — SaaS, Fintech, Healthcare, Climate, etc.
  • Location — city, country, or region
  • Check size — investment range
  • Geography focus — where they invest
  • Email — has or doesn’t have an email

Saved lists

Save any filter combination as a named list using the Save List button. Saved lists appear in the sidebar for quick access.

Bookmarking investors

Select one or more investors using the checkboxes, then click Save Selected to bookmark them. Bookmarked investors are saved to your personal list and can be filtered separately.

Adding investors to campaigns

To enroll an investor in an outreach campaign:
  1. The investor must have an email address on file
  2. Click the investor’s row action menu and select Add to Campaign
  3. Orbis creates a contact record from the investor’s data and adds them to the selected campaign
Converting an investor to a contact is a one-way operation — it creates a new contact in your CRM with the investor’s details so they can receive campaign emails.

Data source

The investor database is curated and maintained by Orbis. You cannot create, edit, or delete investor records directly — the data is read-only. Use bookmarks, notes, and tags to organize investors for your own workflows.
